restless hearts crafts vacationed with out me, but brought me tons of good plastic to work with. i am really digging the thin transparent neon newspaper bags her sister collected for my projects. so last night i set out to make a bag, that you can wear on your belt to carry the daily things you may need on and off your bike. i made one without a pattern and it came out better than expected. i am thinking of making a removable strap to run through the belt loops so that you can attach it to your bike too.

belt bag - plastic bags throughout the outside and lined with recycled pool felt.

robert, my buddy in tallahassee reminded me that he wanted a wallet so i made him one with the new plastic. hope he likes neon! enjoi my friend!

so finally i started a vegan food blog b/c i love cooking and cooking with and for friends. cooking and enjoying food that is made with care makes me extremely happy.

i want people to have a site where they will feel comfortable making vegan food with simple ingredients that are good for you, instead of eating only boca and morning star products that are boring and filled with crap. eat vegetables!!!! they're delish and cheap and easy to grow!!!!!!!! join me if you would like, but this is what i plan to do :

today (friday) - get off work early, go to sam flax to get spray paint, get sushi and noodles with sona somewhere in lil' 'nam. afterwards, go home and start some new projects ; fannypack, backpack, ipod/phone pouch, we'll see from there. i still need to make anna a wristwallet too.

saturday - wake up, get coffee, go to some bike shops to get various parts, tools and supplies, sand and paint bikes. relax over lunch, clean garage with mom, organize, put shelving units together, rearrange the "junk" room. hopefully the pool will be ready for a swim, then swim, swim, swim. iron some bags, get high off the fumes and cuddle with biggie and smalls.

sunday - wake up and make breakfast, tempeh bacon, tofu scramble, avocado toast, (yummmm) and then pretty much repeat saturday, bike building and tweaking, ride around and test everything out. SWIM! post free shit on freecycle, hopefully we will have a lot. do some gardening. sew lots of shit. rest for stupid work on monday. cuddle with my kitties.

oh yeah, brittany has a treehouse, and we plan to picnic in it. woop!

the market wednesday was fun!, but could be a lot better. i talked to gabby and hopefully next time we will be next to the rusted chain bike collective, instead of sandwiched between hippie jewelry stands, and hopefully that next time will be this coming wednesday. julie (restless hearts) and i got a lot of "oh this is so cool, great ideas", "wow, this is so neat", "it's trash!, OMG" and then they walk away. i heard one lady say, "i don't bring money to the market, so i don't buy anything", well what's the point lady? you're coming and hanging out, so support your community, you nut job! and next to this lady was a intoxicated woman with her child and dog, looking at julie's top tube pads and talking about learning to ride a bike without one, "i lost my virginity on a bike, you know my labia". i think she should be restless hearts spokesperson, "buy restless hearts top tube pads, without one your virginity will be stolen by the top tube rape master!"

so, kaye and i have joined forces to exploit our talents and i couldn't be happier. my line is restless hearts crafts. so far, my creations have been centered around bike related products, but i like to explore, so i'm sure that there will be a lot of different stuff coming out of this line. i have plans for books, wallets, bike envelopes and someday hopefully soaps!! (believe me, i'm just getting started.)

i am really digging life right now. i am so excited about what's next. i have turned off the television, pumped up the jamz and sew!

sew what? books, wallets, and bicycle tube pads so far. i have plans to make tote bags, tanks (summer is almost here), hip packs and bike bags. all of these out of plastic bags! hell yeah!!! i have received so many compliments and much encouragement for what i am doing. i think most people are blown away, even if it is just a gust now, it will be hurricane winds all over the place soon. i love making this shit and i love making people happy.

i sold my first wallet last night. it was the third one i made. it was constructed of a "keep" company bag, scrap pool felt and duck cloth. adam aka "hudgie" from bbq bought it. thanks dude!

wendy from tallahassee has placed a non-specific order for a plastic bag wallet. my choice, she "trusts me". HA!

so i have started a garden, a pot garden. no, not a marijuana garden, but a garden of potted plants. i am waiting until austin to plant them in the pallet planter that julie and i will be making in the next week.

together julie and i have quite a collection of herbs, fruits and vegetables.

at my house i have rosemary, marjoram, purple basil, a citrus herb, catnip, purple baby bok choy, a tomato vine and 4 orange bell peppers that began to sprout this morning. I still need to plant a tray of cat grass, for biggie, smalls, and a bed of yellow onion bulbs.

Happily, there's an anxious, stuttering charm to Free Drugs, tightly coiled with punchy, solid songs and memorable hooks. The coulda-been-written-in-1965 bomp of "Caroline" and "Irresistable" are insta-catchy under the band's stripped-down ooh-ahs. "Psychedelic Tits" pays lip service to a girl's magical mammaries, singer Michael Coomers calling them "the color of a rainbow" over a witchy guitar riff, while "Think I'm Thinkin Bout" goes down like polished candy dug from the Cramps' sweaty armpit. "I'm on Drugs," true to its name, is a hit of tempo change and gunky fuzz in less than two minutes, and the "Red Herring" line, "Tell me girl where'd you sleep last night, and don't you lie," catches efficacy with a buzz-saw menace. In 12 songs, Free Drugs manages retro-replication without Harlem sounding confined to a two-car you-know-what.

yesterday started off awesome.

i woke up well rested. i played with my dogs and my kitties (literally, not sexually). i made lunch for julie and i, in exchange for coffee, conversation, and positive thinking of progressive future projects. we then set out for thrift stores and bat shit crazy black sheep. with all of the excitement i left my wallet, phone, cigarettes and coffee at the house. julie found some good stuff for the new place, a cute wooden bench, vintage pyrex and a historical lamp.

stardust was hosting the market. there was music, art, jewelry, organic produce, fresh vegan food, herbs, and plants. there were more cars in the surrounding parking lots than there were people at the market. i believe that defeats a great deal of the purpose of having a local farmers / craft market. tarpley was there and that made me HAPPY!

we left, julie took me home, she parted and i returned to the market a few hours later with sona and hilary. tarpley was still there as well as a lot of people i had not seen in a month or more.

several 4 packs of pbr later, lots of art was made and sold, lots of plans were changed, too many questions about my eye and face were ask, lots of hugs, drugs and kisses were had. we left the market for jenny p.'s, casey, and philihpe's house. weed, beer, refman in a romper. off to Franksgiving........always a pleasure. ran into good people, wheat was there!, lurking in the shadows outside. anna k. was upstairs on the organ. we stayed for awhile, heard the ridiculous story of frank's former roommates, now downstairs neighbors. the top two photos are from frank's living space.

yesterday i woke up on wanda's sofa a bit confused. there was a lot of whiskey and vodka drank the night before to fuel many rock band songs. i remember singing weezer and alanis morisette songs. so yeah, i woke up sore with a dry mouth. devon and i went to bikkuri for noodles and sushi. i drank a bottle of hot sake then went home to take my meds. i went ahead and took 15mg of lortab, which knocked me out for four hours. i woke up for more lortab and dinner. i grilled a portabella, an ear of corn and had a baked potato all on top of a bed of spinach. just before it was ready i ate crumbs of klonopin and flexorall with a few glasses of Foris pinot gris and a couple hits of weed. i was trying to become numb all day and i finally had the resipe right.

i was sitting at the table and realized that a steak knife would make cutting my portabella a lot easier. i ask my mom to bring me one when i thought in my head, what if when she handed me the knife i stabbed her. why is it that she never pauses for a second or a minute to think the same? i wouldnt stab her, but i could.

faux chicken salad with friends

i am making my first faux chicken salad with tempeh, carrots, celery, pickles, onion, garlic, braggs, mustard, vegenaise and salt n pepa. i'm going to bake sweet potato fries to throw on the side. julie is definitely coming over to feast with me and may bring AJ with her. big boy (biggie) and petezza (smalls) will be picnic partying as well.

yes, here it is. i finally started what i couldnt stop thinking about. i have so much to say, eventually a book will be put together. it may not be published, but it will be read.
